About Us
The River Valley Garden Club was started in 1967. Our mission is to encourage an interest in all aspects of gardening and horticulture through the study of nature, conservation and design, and participation in projects which beautify, educate and benefit the communities we serve. We are part of Michigan Garden Clubs Inc. and National Garden Clubs Inc.
We have supported organizations related to nature and gardening, such as the Berrien County Youth Fair, Chikaming Open Lands, Fernwood Botanical Garden, Sarett Nature Center and Michigan Garden Clubs Scholarship Funds. The funds for these charitable projects come from our May Plant Sale and September Plant Auction.
Our members are interested in learning more about gardening, landscaping, horticulture, flower arranging, and the natural beauty that surrounds us. To continue our education, we have guest speakers at meetings or we take field trips.
